All by myself

Today I did something remarkable! I drove into Kelso all by myself and got my hair cut! I have never driven myself to anything before! I was actually able to make a hair appointment on a weekday for a change. I was so nervous about finding a parking space though, I just avoided all the car parks and parked on a street really far from the main street. (When I say ‘far’ I mean ‘Kelso far’ - about 5 minutes walk - rather than ‘Edinburgh far’ where you park the car then get a bus.) I was also able to go shopping for some essentials (lipbalm and hairdye). Ooh I’m all, like, independent!

Woo Hoo! Well done. I remember when I first started driving how nerve wracking it was and how I was sure any passengers were criticising my every move. You’re a free wumman!
