Exposure

Thursday, 13th November 2008

Apart from worrying myself senseless about going back to the doctors (everything is fine), I have been trying to learn about photography! I will be James’ assistant again at the wedding he has booked in January but since James intends to buy a swanky new camera, I will also have the chance to use the old camera and be ‘second shooter’. Eek! There is absolutely no pressure on me to take any good photos (phew!) but it’s a really good opportunity for me to give it a go at an event. How great would it be if I actually got one of my photos into the final wedding album?

So James gave me a book to read called ‘Understanding Exposure’ and I have been trying out my new skills on my doggy (I could do with a new model but she’s cheap). It took me a few days to get to grips with what the hell I was doing and I took a lot of dreadful photos but I’m pleased with these ones (and James Photoshopped them to make them look even better).

She’s lovely and those are great photos. Really glad to hear you got the ok from the doc because now I can gripe at you for getting me into the Kings of Leon. My children howl at me every time the CD comes on in the car because I have been listening to it constantly. I have told them to take their complaints to you. That’s okay, right?

:) Oh dear, do your kids have no taste in music? You’d better just keep playing it to them so they can learn to appreciate it!
