Plastic box paradise

Wednesday, 23rd April 2008

Something in me has changed and it’s a bit alarming! I’ve been tidying, organising, cleaning, washing and cooking! Lately I’ve found that I can’t sit around for long. I’ve lost all desire to laze around in front of the TV; I just want to be busy! Even whilst I’m writing this post, my mind is busy wondering what I’m going to organise next. I don’t know what’s changed, and I don’t know how long it’s going to last but I’m certainly making the most of it.

After months and months of trying to be careful with money, we went to B&Q at the weekend and splashed out on some shelves and storage boxes. I’ve been desperate to transform our rather useless under-stairs cupboard into a magnificently organised plastic-box paradise. I’ve been very excited about it. So much so, that I fall asleep thinking about which things to put in which boxes. And today I received my new ‘Dymo LetraTag’ monster labelling machine. My god, it’s a beast! All of my storage boxes will have neat little labels on them! Oh how satisfying!

I can’t believe no one has commented yet - does no one else think that this organising/labelling obsession is a bit strange? Not that I’m complaining… it was nice and easy to find a replacement lightbulb last night! :)

Not strange at all - think it is fantastic and I want a ‘beast’ too.
Quote from mum ‘oh she’s soooo funny I love her!’ so think that means she doesnt find it strange either!!
A package will be on it’s way in the next few weeks - something I dont need anymore that is quite pricey and you may need - look forward to hearing which box it gets put in and how it is labelled!!

Um… have you regressed back to the 1980s? I thought those things went out with the Ark?

Nikki, can’t possibly guess what you’re sending me! ;)

Nuttycow, yes, yes I have regressed back to the 80s! And what a lovely place it is to regress to…
