Uneventful and serene

Tuesday, 18th March 2008

Life is uneventful at the moment, in a serene kind of way. The house is tidy. The washing, ironing, dishes, and hoovering are all done. Today I did the ironing whilst watching ‘Three Men and a Baby’. I’m beginning to understand how this housework thing works; keep on top of it every day! Why has it taken me this long to get it? I shouldn’t ask myself questions like that because I really do try to answer them, which is probably some form of procrastination, which leads me to putting off doing the housework.

I went running yesterday for the first time this year. I’ve been putting it off mainly due to laziness but also because it was getting too cold and I couldn’t handle it. It was still freezing but I was brave. It’s so open around here, there’s nothing to shield me from the wind, but even so, I quite enjoyed it. It helps that I get to run in such a beautiful place. I’m still astounded by the landscape here. And there’s never another soul around so I get to enjoy it all by myself. It feels too good to be true.

It was mild and sunny this morning. I didn’t even need to wear a coat when I was out with the dog. I wonder if we’ll be able to get the garden furniture out soon?

Oh, I like a bit of uneventful - time to get on top of stuff. Theoretically. Congratulations on the run too - it’s actually starting to get pleasant out there again!

it’s been lovely the past few days hasn’t it? kinda cold when you’re not in the sun, but nice. march is such a weird month - i remember a couple of years ago a mini heatwave in mid march and then the next year snow storms at exactly the same time. mental.

Well done for running. I keep meaning to. But it’s cold…and dark…and a million other excuses. I fail. Keep it up! :)
