I’m not bendy
This morning I tried out my Chillates video (yoga, pilates and dance) for the second time in two years. Now I remember why I gave up the first time. I’m not bendy whatsoever. James told me to stick with it (‘you won’t get bendy if you don’t keep trying’) but I just found it frustrating! I’ve got good co-ordination so I think I could do the moves if I tried (in a stiff, doesn’t-look-like-I’m-doing-what-they’re-doing kind of way) but I just don’t see the point in even trying because I just get annoyed.
It’s so slow and controlled and all serious. When I try to do all the ’slowly exhale and inhale and find your centre’ stuff, I just starting laughing in a really immature way because it feels silly. I’ve decided that it’s just not for me. I either like ‘normal’ toning exercises like sit-ups – exercises that don’t involve me having to get some ribs removed in order to bend into position – or really energetic dance aerobics. I like working out to really upbeat music that I can turn up loud and that gets me really energised, not slow sappy chill-out music that sends me to sleep! I feel better now that I’ve decided to not bother with it anymore.
Talking of upbeat music, here are two fantastic songs that I love just now:
Estelle ft Kanye West - American Boy
Estelle and Kanye! Wow! This is amazing!
Alphabeat - Fascination (Remix)
The original version of this song is quite horrible but I love this dance mix.
