We had a lovely time visiting my brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephew and niece in Aberdeen yesterday and today. We took Jodie for a walk to meet Lewis and Charlotte from school in the afternoon. Jodie decided to run into the playground for a game of football with some school boys. Oops. They didn’t seem to mind though.
Later that night we played with Lewis and Charlotte in their rooms. We put all the lights off, threw a fleece blanket over James’ head, pulled it off to make sparks and then gave each other static shocks! Jodie got a few shocks on the nose too just so she didn’t feel left out. Then we had a disco with Lewis and Charlotte singing the Amarillo song and James shining a torch at a glitter ball. It was nice to see that Lewis and Charlotte are as easy to please as we are.
Today James went with his brother to watch Lewis play football, and got some really great photos of him in action. Then he set up all his studio photography gear in their lounge and took some great shots of all the family. They’re all so photogenic!
Jodie was made a constant fuss of by everyone. I have never seen her so worn out! Before we came home, we took her to play football at the ‘Big Grass’ (an aptly named big patch of grass) and that just absolutely finished her. She has been dead to the world since we got home.
So, apart from Jodie wading in the water feature every time I let her out in the back garden, and apart from having to keep their cat out of the way in case of some kind of dog/cat brawl, we had a really, really fun time!

sounds like a great time was had by all - heard about the football incident - glad that didn’t get Jodie into trouble - love the photos on James blog with her and Lewis
