Smile Challenge: Blog about something that makes you smile!

SmokeI’m smiling today because I feel all lucky and happy – it’s all very mushy. Jodie and I were playing football in the garden and as I looked around me (through the mist of course), I realised that I’ve got my dream! I’ve got my little cottage in the countryside! How cool is that?! Yes, I have lived here for over a year now so I should be used to it by now, but every so often it hits me and I still can’t believe it! Here I am, in the quiet countryside (quiet apart from the mooing and occasional gunshots – I don’t think they’re shooting cows though, just birds!), not having to work, living with my bestest friend in the entire world (my husband), and the cutest dog ever (it’s true, she is!), and I’ve got everything I could ever want (well, apart from a baby). The thing that made me smile the most – and I’m aware that it’s weird – was the smoke puffing out of the chimney!

Not weird at all. I go slightly wobbly at the sight of clean washing out on the line sometimes. It’s that very-deeply-buried domestic goddess gene - it pops out sometimes!

We’ve been here 3 1/2 years and I still go wobbly when I walk towards the house and realise it is mine :):) - Sooooo glad James found his best friend - you two are so good for each other :) The baby will come soon - just give me a chance to finish with all the newborn stuff so I can pass it on!! but not too long so ‘buttercup’ (dont ask :) ) has a cousin near her age .
