Jodie’s broken tail
After everyone went home on Christmas Day, the strangest thing happened to Jodie’s tail… it just stopped working! We were really worried about her at first as she seemed to be in pain and we couldn’t figure out why. The next day she was still the same and was feeling really sorry for herself, so we looked online and discovered that she has something called ‘cold water tail‘ or ‘broken tail’! The tail can become limp and sore after swimming, taking cold or hot baths, or being overworked. We think it happened when James quickly hosed her outside as she got all muddy on Christmas Eve. Then on Christmas Day she was wagging like mad all day when we had all our visitors. It’s so strange – especially as she is usually such a waggy dog – it’s not something I had ever heard of before. It seems to be getting better every day though and is currently at half-mast!

Awwwwwwwwwwwww, poor doggy! Is she any better today? They can’t be excited without their tail’s wagging… remember we used to pat ciara’s tail down gently every time she went to bark at someone… she then couldn’t get all barky coz her tail wasn’t up.
