Meme: 8 random things about me

I’ve been tagged for ‘8 Random Things About Me’ by Loth from The Gym Isn’t Working. Doesn’t she know how long it took me to write my ‘100 Things’????? It took me a long, long, long time. And now I need eight more things?! I’m really not that interesting. Also, I just remembered that my sister-in-law tagged me ages ago and I forgot to actually do the meme so I’ll do that one too soon.

Here are the rules: When tagged, you must link to the person who tagged you. Then post the rules before your list, and list eight random things about yourself. At the end of the post, you must tag and link to eight other people.

8 Random Things About Me:

1. At school I put all my efforts into Art and wanted to go to Edinburgh College of Art. My Art teacher seemed pleased. Then my English teacher spoke to me about my future and pointed out that Art College is hard to get into. So I completely dropped out of Art.
2. I shake my clothes and towels in case they have spiders on them.
3. I became a vegetarian at the age of nine. When I was 21, James pointed out to me that animals are just animals, and I realised that I didn’t care anymore and I was probably missing out on good food. I cried over my first chicken curry but I think they were tears of relief.
4. I used to spend hours staring at maps and globes. I haven’t done so for years, and I have an urge to buy a globe.
5. The film ‘The Ring’ absolutely terrified me. I’ve never been overly scared by horror films but this one changed me forever. The tension in the cinema was unbearable! The only good thing was that people weren’t doing their usual popcorn rustling or making eating noises because they were all too scared.
6. I’m bad at sleeping. I don’t think I’ve ever had a good sleeping regime and I have no idea how many hours of sleep I really need. I don’t get to sleep easily and when I wake up I never feel like I’ve had a good night’s sleep.
7. I used to eat Wotsits with KitKats but now I like to dip crisps and rice cakes in yoghurt.
8. Music has played a huge part in my life. Memories of when I was extremely young come back to me just from hearing songs (things I didn’t even know I’d forgotten). Pop songs from the 80s fill my heart with utter joy, and I really have my mum to thank for that because she always had the radio on. She was (and always will be) obsessed with pop music!

I can’t believe I actually managed to think up more things about myself. I won’t tag anyone because I don’t really have anyone to tag, and because tagging people is just mean!
