It is the 20th Anniversary of ‘Dirty Dancing’ (oh my god) and I just watched a fantastic Dawn Porter documentary called ‘Seriously Dirty Dancing’. Dawn Porter is so hilarious! She visited the locations from the film and acted out some scenes, including the lift in the lake (so funny!) and the final dance. From what I have seen of Dawn (‘Super Slim Me’ and ‘How to Look Good Naked’), I really like what she has to say. She is one of those ‘what’s wrong if women wobble a bit’ kind of girls, which is great. She hasn’t helped me like my wobbles but people like her help me realise that there is an unrealistic – even unattainable – ideal that I needn’t try to live up to (not that I do try, but I feel I should be trying). She takes on these great challenges and doesn’t take herself too seriously (or just seriously enough). Wish I could be more like that!
